Maxliner Venture Canopy Gen 1 — Volkswagen Amarok 2023+
A steel-reinforced ute canopy built specifically for the 2023-onwards Volkswagen Amarok dual cab. Handle-free lift-up side windows with push-button access, a front lift-up window for ventilation, and central locking compatibility.

The 2023-onwards Amarok shares its platform with the Next-Gen Ford Ranger, which is a very different vehicle to the earlier VW-built Amarok. Getting the generation right matters here more than on most utes.
Gen 1 or Gen 2 — What You Get For The Extra $1,700
Straight answer, because the price gap is real.
Gen 1 ($3,495, this one) — the same steel-reinforced frame, push-button windows and styling as the Gen 2. Maxliner does not publish a rated roof load for it, and it comes in a shorter colour list.
Gen 2 ($5,195) — adds premium roof rails and a published 150kg dynamic / 350kg static roof rating, plus a wider colour range.
If you are running a roof top tent or a heavy rack, buy the Gen 2 — the published rating is the thing you actually need. If the canopy is for secure dry storage, this one does the job for $1,700 less.

Common Questions
How does a canopy affect my payload?
A canopy is dead weight before you load anything into it, and it comes straight off your ute's payload. Add a drawer system and touring gear and it adds up quickly. If you are planning a full build, come and talk to us at Chipping Norton and we will work through the numbers rather than have you end up overloaded.
Can I fit a roof top tent?
There is no published roof rating on the Gen 1, so for tent use we would steer you to the Gen 2 at 350kg static.
Is it dust sealed for outback touring?
The Venture uses sealed lift-up windows and a sealed rear door. As with any canopy, sealing performance depends on correct fitment — a good argument for having it fitted by us rather than doing it yourself.

Collection or Fitment Only — This canopy is available for collection from, or fitment at, our Chipping Norton NSW workshop. Residential delivery is not available. For freight cost to a business or depot address please kindly contact us.
