Shipping policy
1. Where we ship
We deliver to all states and territories of Australia, including regional and remote locations.
We do not ship internationally. If you are outside Australia and want to arrange your own freight forwarder, email us at info@tigerxauto.com.au before ordering.
2. Order processing and dispatch
- Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding NSW public holidays.
- In-stock items are dispatched within 1–2 business days of your payment clearing.
- Orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are processed the next business day.
- If an item is out of stock, on back-order or coming direct from the manufacturer, we will contact you within 1 business day with an expected dispatch date.
- Orders containing both small parts and oversized freight may be split into separate deliveries arriving at different times. You will receive tracking for each consignment.
We will not dispatch an order until payment has cleared in full and, for oversized freight, until the freight cost has been quoted and paid (see Section 4).
3. Standard parcel delivery (small and medium items)
Applies to items that fit within standard courier limits — generally under 22kg, no side longer than 105cm, and under 0.25m³ (Australia Post's limits; other carriers vary slightly). This covers most driving lights, snorkels, weathershields, protection packs, tailgate assist kits, recovery gear and spare parts.
Carriers: Australia Post, Team Global Express, Allied Express, Aramex and Couriers Please, selected based on your address and the size of the item.
Cost: Calculated at checkout based on the weight, cubic dimensions and destination postcode of your order.
Estimated transit times (business days from dispatch, not from order):
| Destination | Estimate |
|---|---|
| Sydney metro | 1–2 days |
| NSW, VIC, ACT, QLD metro | 2–4 days |
| SA and TAS metro | 3–6 days |
| WA and NT metro | 5–10 days |
| Regional and rural addresses | Add 2–5 days |
| Remote areas | 7–21 days |
These are carrier estimates, not guarantees. We cannot control delays once a consignment is in the carrier's network.
4. Oversized and bulky freight
Applies to bull bars, canopies, roller shutters, trays, tubs, pre-assembled roof racks and platforms, drawer systems, ladder racks, long light bars, side steps, rock sliders and any item too large or heavy for standard courier services.
In short: freight on these items is quoted to your nearest depot for collection. If you want it delivered to a residential address, add approximately $100 for tailgate delivery.
Freight is quoted, not charged at checkout
Oversized items are listed with freight quoted on request.
Important: all freight quotes on oversized items are to your nearest depot for collection only. Residential delivery is not included in the quoted price and must be requested and paid for separately — see Home delivery below.
Shipping cost depends on the item's cubic size, weight, whether it needs a pallet, and how far it is travelling. A steel bull bar can be under 60kg but take up the trailer space of a 300kg pallet — carriers charge on cubic weight or actual weight, whichever is greater. Most express and road couriers convert at 250kg per cubic metre (length × width × height in cm ÷ 4,000); palletised general freight is often converted at 333kg per cubic metre. There is no honest way to set one flat rate across the country for these items.
How it works:
- Add the item to your cart and complete your order, or email us at info@tigerxauto.com.au with the product and your delivery postcode.
- We obtain a freight quote and send it to you, usually within 1 business day.
- Once you approve and pay the freight charge, we book the consignment and dispatch.
- If you do not wish to proceed, we refund your order in full — no charge, no obligation.
Depot collection (standard — this is what the quote covers)
Freight quotes on oversized items cover delivery to your nearest freight depot for collection, or to a business address with a forklift or loading dock. This is the standard across the Australian 4WD industry and is significantly cheaper than residential delivery.
- We will notify you which depot your consignment is at and provide the connote number.
- Depots usually hold freight for 3–5 business days. Storage fees charged by the carrier after that period are payable by you.
- Bring photo ID and your connote number. You will need a suitable vehicle and, in most cases, a second person to load.
Home delivery (optional — additional tailgate charge applies)
We can deliver oversized items to a residential address where the carrier services it. This is not included in your freight quote. Residential delivery requires a tail-lift (tailgate) truck and manual handling, and attracts an additional charge of approximately $100, confirmed at the time of quoting. Very heavy or awkward items and long-distance regional runs may cost more — we will always tell you the exact figure before you pay.
If you choose home delivery, please note:
- Delivery is kerbside only. The driver will not carry the item into a garage, up a driveway, through a gate or into a house.
- You or someone over 18 must be present to accept and sign for the delivery.
- For heavy items you may be required to assist unloading, or to have a second person available.
- Access must be suitable for a rigid truck. If the driver cannot safely access your street or driveway, the consignment will be returned to the depot and re-delivery or depot storage fees will apply.
Estimated freight transit times
| Route | Estimate |
|---|---|
| Sydney metro | 1–3 business days |
| Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra | 3–6 business days |
| Adelaide | 5–8 business days |
| Perth, Darwin, Hobart | 8–15 business days |
| Regional and remote | 10–25 business days |
Oversized freight moves on scheduled linehaul runs rather than daily courier networks, so timeframes are longer and less predictable than parcel post.
5. Local pickup — Chipping Norton NSW
Free pickup is available from our Chipping Norton warehouse for all orders, including oversized items.
- Select Local Pickup at checkout.
- Wait for our confirmation email before coming in — please do not arrive unannounced.
- Orders are held for 14 days from the pickup-ready notification. If you need longer, just let us know. Orders not collected and not arranged after 14 days will be returned to stock and refunded, less any restocking fee that applies under our Returns Policy.
- Bring your order number and photo ID.
- For bull bars, canopies and roller shutters, bring a ute, trailer or van and a second person. We can assist with loading but cannot secure or strap your load for you.
6. Supply & Fit orders
Where you have purchased a Supply & Fit variant, no shipping applies. We will contact you to book a fitting appointment at our Chipping Norton workshop.
- Fitting bookings are typically available within 1–2 weeks, subject to stock and workshop availability.
- Please allow the full booked time — most accessory fitments are a same-day job, but canopies, roller shutters and electrical work may require the vehicle overnight.
- If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours notice.
7. Tracking
Once your order is dispatched you will receive an email with your carrier and tracking or connote number. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to become active.
For oversized freight, tracking updates are less frequent than parcel post — a consignment may show no movement for several days while it is in linehaul transit. This is normal.
If your tracking has not updated in 5 business days, contact us and we will chase the carrier.
8. Delivery addresses
- Please double-check your address at checkout. Incorrect or incomplete addresses supplied by the customer are the customer's responsibility, and any redirection, redelivery or return-to-sender fees charged by the carrier will be passed on to you at cost. We will provide the carrier's invoice or fee schedule on request.
- We cannot change a delivery address once a consignment has been dispatched.
- PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers: small parcels only. We cannot send oversized freight to a PO Box or Parcel Locker.
- We recommend a business or work address where possible — it is cheaper to ship to, and someone is usually there to receive it.
9. Authority to Leave
All orders delivered to a home address are sent with Authority to Leave (ATL) by default, unless you tell us otherwise.
Please be aware that couriers do not phone ahead or call on arrival. If nobody is home, the driver will leave the parcel in a location they judge to be safe — typically the front door, porch or side gate.
Where a delivery is left under ATL, the goods are left at your own risk and TIGER-X AUTO is not responsible for loss, theft or damage once the carrier records the delivery as complete. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see Section 13).
If you do not want your order left unattended, tell us before dispatch — add a note in the order comments at checkout, or email info@tigerxauto.com.au with your order number. We will mark the consignment signature required. In that case, if nobody is available the carrier will leave a card and take the item to a local collection point or depot. Please collect it promptly; items left unclaimed and returned to us will incur return freight costs.
We recommend requesting signature required if your address is unattended during business days, has no secure place to leave a parcel, or if your order is high value.
Oversized and palletised freight is excluded from ATL. A tail-lift delivery cannot be left unattended — someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign for it (see Section 4).
10. Remote and regional areas
Some postcodes attract carrier surcharges or cannot be serviced at all by certain freight companies. This affects parts of NT, far north QLD, outback SA and WA, Tasmania and the islands.
If your address falls into one of these areas, we will contact you before dispatch with the additional cost or an alternative option. You can cancel for a full refund at that point if the cost does not suit.
11. Damaged, lost or missing items
We pack carefully, but freight networks are hard on goods. Please help us by following this process.
On delivery or collection, inspect your goods before signing.
- If the packaging is visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's paperwork before signing (write "damaged" or "subject to inspection"). Signing a clear POD makes a carrier claim very difficult.
- If the damage is severe, you may refuse the delivery. Contact us straight away.
Reporting a problem:
- Report damage, shortages or missing items to info@tigerxauto.com.au within 5 business days of receipt.
- Include your order number, photos of the item, photos of the packaging as it arrived, and photos of the shipping label.
- Report a non-arrival within 21 days of dispatch so we can lodge a claim while the carrier's window is still open.
These timeframes help us lodge a carrier claim successfully. They do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which are not affected if you report an issue later.
We will lodge the carrier claim on your behalf and arrange a replacement, repair or refund. Your remedy from us does not depend on the outcome of that claim. Carrier investigations can take 7–14 business days. Please retain all original packaging until the claim is resolved — carriers frequently require inspection.
Transit insurance is available on high-value oversized freight and is strongly recommended for bull bars, canopies and roller shutters travelling interstate. Ask us for the cost when we quote your freight.
12. Delays outside our control
Delivery estimates are provided by our carriers and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, flooding, road closures, industrial action, carrier network congestion, peak periods, or supplier or manufacturer stock delays. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see Section 13).
We will always keep you informed and chase the carrier on your behalf.
