Common Questions
Do these fit the Tank 300 PHEV?
Yes. The plug-in hybrid arrived in Australia in March 2026 and uses the same doors and window apertures as the petrol, hybrid and diesel models. One part number covers the whole range.
Are window visors legal in NSW and the other states?
Yes. Visors that mount outside the glass and do not obstruct the driver's view are legal Australia-wide. They are not window tint, so the VLT (visible light transmission) rules that apply to tinting do not apply to them.
Will the tape damage my paint if I take them off later?
The 3M automotive-grade tape is designed to release cleanly with gentle heat from a heat gun or hairdryer. Peel slowly and any residue comes off with adhesive remover. Do not pull them off cold.
Can I still go through an automatic car wash?
Touchless washes are fine. With brush-style washes, the brushes can catch the leading edge of a taped-on visor, so hand washing is the safer option once these are fitted.
How long do they take to fit?
About 20 minutes for the set. Clean the door frames with isopropyl alcohol first, dry-fit each visor to check alignment, then peel the tape backing and press firmly. Leave the windows closed for 24 hours while the tape cures.
Do they rattle or whistle at highway speed?
No — they are moulded to the Tank 300's door frame profile, so they sit flush. Whistling on window visors is almost always caused by a universal-fit visor that does not follow the door line.
